Fort Greene Council, Inc. 50th Anniversary Gala
For 50 years, Fort Greene Council has stood at the forefront of service throughout Brooklyn, New York. Fort Greene Council Inc. was co-founded in 1973 by Dr. Sam Pinn, Ed Carter, and Pat Dougal to serve our most vulnerable underserved population, older adults and children in Brooklyn, New York. We are one of the largest Black non-profit organizations in Brooklyn, serving 14 Older Adult Clubs (OACs) and a child care program. Our older adults program promotes aging in place and helps prevent social isolation among the older population. Some of our daily activities include Health and Wellness; Arts and Culture; Crafts, Computer Technology classes; Nutrition; and educational trips, to name a few.
Help celebrate this organization’s 50th-year milestone, with dinner, music, dancing, and recognition of their accomplishments over the last five decades in Brooklyn!
