Learn About Composting with Beth Am Temple Sukkot Service

Beth Am Temple’s Erev Sukkot service will have an environmental theme. As part of the family-friendly Sukkot celebration, temple member Ann Ellis, an experienced gardener, will give a brief presentation on composting and demonstrate how a kitchen composter works. She will explain what composting is, the benefits, where people can get more information about the do’s and don’ts of composting, and the items needed to compost at home. Following the approximately hour-long service and presentation, participants are invited to a kiddush in the sukkah and to recite the blessings while waving a lulav.
