The Aesop Queer Library

The Aesop Queer Library is reopening its doors for its fifth year, honoring the vibrant vocabularies shaped by LGBTQIA2S+ communities and spotlighting language as both a refuge and a form of resistance. In partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (ACLU) and Penguin Random House, this year’s edition explores the theme “Other Words – Language as Liberation.”
Branches of the Queer Library will open simultaneously across Aesop spaces in New York City, Los Angeles, and Toronto from June 26–29. Stores will remove all products from their shelves, replacing them with queer stories to amplify LGBTQIA2S+ voices- available at no cost and with no purchase necessary. This year’s featured authors include New York Times bestselling writer Ocean Vuong, among others.
