Winter Break Teen TV Writers Room

Have you ever wondered how your favorite TV show got to the screen? Want to try your hand at writing a script made for TV? In this workshop, you will collaborate with other young creatives on a new pilot episode for a TV Series. We will generate ideas, learn to use the three-act structure, and operate as if we were in our own TV writers’ room.

Misty Yarnall is a Rochester-based writer, editor, and teaching artist. She received her BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College and currently works as the Administrative and Communications Coordinator and the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center. She actively teaches creative workshops through libraries, homeschool co-ops, and nonprofit organizations. She is passionate about creating brave spaces for people to share their stories. She is the Youth Programs Coordinator at the Hudson Valley Writers Center.
